Hi Year 3
I really hope you have all had a super half-term holiday and that you have made the most of the great weather whilst still keeping safe!
As you will know, school is trying to re-open slowly, allowing some year groups to return to lessons. As of yet, there is no return date set for Year 3 and things will be very different to the way they were once a date has been given. However, I will be in school every Tuesday and Friday according to the current timetable. I have decided that I will make up home learning packs on a weekly basis. I will print them out on a Friday so that they are ready for collection each Monday from Reception at Eastlands. Should there be any changes to this, I will put up a new message on this page. I have a shortened pack for this week which I will bring in to school on Tuesday and print out. This should be ready for collection on Tuesday afternoon.
I am really missing each and everyone of you and I can't wait to see you all once again!!
Keep smiling, keep happy and keep safe!

Welcome once again Year 3. I hope everyone is keeping well. Last week Mrs Fay called you all up, making sure that all is well.
As we begin the month of May, I have this weeks work. I have only done Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as Friday is a Bank Holiday - VE Day. This was originally to extend the weekend so that celebrations marking the end of the Second World War in Europe could be marked with many different events and activities. However, a little thing crept up in the form of Covid 19 and this has meant, due to isolation rules, many of these events cannot take place. However, here are a few ideas that you can do at home:
1. Design a VE Day medal.
This medal was given to those soldiers who had fought in active theatres of the First World War.
2. Design a teacup:

Here we go again! Another week of home learning!! If you are following your own scheme or another source of learning from the internet, well done and keep up the good work. But, for those of you still following the work that I am putting on the website, here is this weeks work. Don't worry about printing things off - it costs a fortune - I do understand that. However, you can record the answers on a piece of paper and just use the computer screen for any information and the questions/tasks.
I hope everybody is keeping well and staying safe! I am missing you all greatly!!

Hi everyone and welcome back to the summer term. I hope you all had a super Easter. At least, under the circumstances, that you received lots of yummy chocolate!
As you will know, we now have another 3 weeks in lock down following the governments recent bulletins. There are many, many sites on the internet offering home learning and they have some great ideas. For maths, I would continue to use the White Rose activities as much of our lessons in school use aspects of this scheme. The packs available from Hamilton Trust are also very good and I have used some of their ideas in the work I'll be setting on the website on a daily basis. If you are doing work from other websites, that is great, but I will keep adding ideas for you to do at home!
There are many websites offering lessons in various subjects. Here are some that have come highly recommended and are offering a number of different lessons for home schooling:
Twinkl is offering a months free access at the following page: https://www.twinkl.co.uk/offer
You will need to use the access code UKTWINKLHELPS
Classroom Secrets is offering free online learning and packs to print out. https://classroomsecrets.co.uk/
